PDI’s old site was outdated and flash-based. Our challenge was to revamp it from the ground up. Not only did it need to be a clean, modern showcase for their portfolio and a way to easily communicate their capabilities to potential clients, it needed to be done in time for an upcoming showcase.
With the gauntlet thrown down and a tight deadline set, Lform got to work. Our team used responsive design to tell the PDI story with large, high resolution, high impact images to put the product front and center. A “Capabilities” section presents their impressive creative and manufacturing abilities. To illustrate these, we used instantly recognizable icons, many of which were created from scratch. PDI’s impressive portfolio was created through custom development and the use of our own in-house Content Management System. It employs rollover animation and a sorting system allowing users to interact with the site, finding examples by retailer or brand. The CMS allows Preferred Display, Inc. to update the portfolio easily and make changes to the entire site at their leisure and with minimal effort.
The website we created trumpets PDI’s abilities, works for desktop and mobile devices, is SEO-friendly, and reflects the high standards that they hold themselves and their products to. And that deadline? We crushed it. After launching the site, we began a content marketing campaign including blogs and social media posts. Our efforts have increased brand awareness significantly and driven a high volume of traffic to the site.
